We enjoy pork chops. I got a little tired of the same old, same old pork chops, so I decided to try making them with Marsala. We were very pleased with the results and will definitely be having them again.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups Marsala wine (I used Holland House)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp. butter
- 8 boneless pork chops
- 3/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
INSTRUCTIONS
Place breadcrumbs, flour and Parmesan cheese in large bag.
Place 1-2 pork chops inside the bag. Close the bag or hold it shut at the top, shake to cover the pork chops. Repeat with all pork chops.
In a large skillet brown the pork chops in olive oil. Cook in batches 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until done; reserve drippings in skillet.
Remove pork chops from skillet; keep warm.
Add Marsala cooking wine and butter to skillet, stirring to loosen browned particles.
Bring the wine and butter to a boil.
Pour the sauce over the pork chops and serve. You might want to place the pork chops over buttered noodles first, if you want to sauce your noodles.
